Cellist Sungmo Park is actively working as both a performer and educator, focusing on the development of cello educational content and the expansion of repertoire.
He has steadily published structured learning materials for students and professional cellists, including the Cello Scale Technique and Fundamental Cello Technique series, organized by level of difficulty.

His recordings include Korea’s first complete recording of Popper’s 40 Études and J.S. Bach’s Six Cello Suites. Most recently, he released a research-based album of all 23 Cello Sonatas by Boccherini, recorded with original basso continuo accompaniment.

He has studied in masterclasses with world-renowned cellists such as Young-Chang Cho, Antonio Meneses, Walter Grimmer, and Alexander Baillie, and continues to pursue a wide range of repertoire, from contemporary to baroque music.

As a member of the Asia Youth Orchestra, he performed in major cities across Asia, and has appeared as a soloist in performances such as Elgar’s Cello Concerto (March 1st Commemoration Concert), Haydn’s Cello Concerto (Rising Star Concert), and the Bremen Festival for Contemporary Music.

He is a graduate of Hochschule für Künste Bremen in Germany and currently performs solo and records using a French cello crafted in 1730. 

첼리스트 박성모는 첼로 교육 콘텐츠 개발과 레퍼토리 확장에 힘쓰며, 연주자이자 교육자로 활발히 활동하고 있습니다. 난이도별로 구성된 《첼로 스케일 테크닉》, 《첼로 기초 테크닉》 시리즈를 출간하여 전공자 및 연주자를 위한 체계적인 학습 자료를 지속적으로 선보이고 있습니다.

음반으로는 국내 최초로 《포퍼 40 에튀드 전곡》과 《바흐 무반주 첼로 모음곡 전곡》을 발표하였으며, 최근에는 《보케리니 첼로 소나타 23곡》을 오리지널 바소 콘티누오와 함께 녹음한 연구 중심의 앨범을 발매하였습니다.

Young-Chang Cho, Antonio Meneses, Walter Grimmer, Alexander Baillie 등 세계적인 첼리스트들과의 마스터클래스를 통해 깊은 음악적 영향을 받았으며, 현대음악부터 바로크에 이르기까지 폭넓은 레퍼토리를 기반으로 한 연구와 연주 활동을 이어가고 있습니다.

아시아 유스 오케스트라 단원으로 아시아 주요 도시에서 연주하였고, 엘가 협주곡(3.1절 기념), 하이든 협주곡(우수 신인 음악회), 브레멘 현대음악제 등 다양한 무대에서 솔리스트로 참여하였습니다.

그는 독일 브레멘 예술대학교(Hochschule für Künste Bremen)를 졸업하였으며, 현재는 1730년산 프랑스제 첼로를 사용해 솔로 연주와 음반 작업을 활발히 이어가고 있습니다.
